How it works
Your total daily energy expenditure (TDEE) is your BMR multiplied by an activity factor, from 1.2 for mostly sitting to 1.9 for very hard exercise. Eating about this many calories keeps your weight steady.
It is an estimate. Track what you eat for two or three weeks and watch your weight to see your real number.
